THIS RUG'S STORY:
Shhh don't tell anyone! This sweet find from the Beni M'Guild tribe was love at first sight.
Featuring the prettiest pinkish purple color and minimal diamond motifs, this gorgeous rug is simple yet stylish. The Beni M'Guild tribe originates from the Middle Atlas Mountains region in Morocco. These rugs typically feature higher dense pile. This was to provide warmth during the harsh winters!
Beni M'Guilds are also wonderful because they are reversible - as you'll see from the photo, the back side of the rug is very striking too!
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take up to weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
