These mugs are sold in a pair for a fun reason. They are slightly different but complimentary designs. Both have a little heart in the bottom of the cup. The idea behind them is you keep one, and then you give one to your mom, best friend, sister, whoever... and whenever you use your cup, and see that heart in the bottom of it, you think of that person!
