Badia
THIS RUG'S STORY:
This Boujaad rug is another rare find. It features an Arab design characteristic of Fes/Rabat/Casablanca but has true Berber color and weaving style. This runner is a special treat for its unusual combination of rural and urban rug features. It is brightly colored and would complement a happy interior. Hand selected in Morocco, Badia is a very unique find and a true work of art.
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribe specified. This level of craftsmanship can take weeks to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary from rug to rug, woman to woman, tribe to tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been passed though the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
