ALL VINTAGE MOROCCAN RUGS
We feature a collection of unique and rare hand-selected Vintage Moroccan Rugs.
We have been sourcing Moroccan rugs on the ground in Morocco for over 10 years. Each rug in our collection has been sourced by Nataliya for it's unique design, quality construction, and rare attributes.
Vintage Tribal Moroccan rugs are special as they were woven over 20 years ago by Amazigh tribes in various regions of Morocco. They are often characterized by their one of a kind designs, intricate patterns, and natural materials. Vintage rugs can be made from a variety of natural materials - including wool, cotton, and goat's hair. If you are looking for a unique and beautiful rug that will add a touch of history to your home, then a vintage rug is a great option. Hand knotted, these rugs can last for generations.
Frequently asked questions about Moroccan Rugs
How and where do you source your Moroccan rugs?
We have been traveling to Morocco for 10 years sourcing the most interesting, design forward, and rare pieces. We work directly with collectors and local experts who have 30+ years in the industry, and have dedicated ourselves to learn about how, where, and why these rugs were created.
How do you clean these rugs?
There is a blog post about that exact topic here.
What rug pad do you recommend?
We love a good felt and rubber rug pad! Stay away from pads that are made with PVC or other materials, as these can damage floors over time.
Vintage Moroccan rugs are weird sizes. How do I make one work in my space?
Each rug is sized differently as it was made on a handloom. You can read about the best size rug for your space, and how to work with a vintage rug of a unsual size here.
