THIS RUG'S STORY:
Beni M'Guilds come from the Middle Atlas region of Morocco and feature higher pile and repetitive patterns with geometric shapes. I named this rug for it's soft coloring and easy going nature. It's laid back and a bit casual but also elegant because of the rose-y color.
It's soft colors and individual tribal motifs make it very interesting, not your typical and traditional Beni M'Guild rug. It has been woven with cotton too, and it's colorful tassels show at the bottom. Beni's are known for the beauty on the reverse side. As shown in the pictures, the backside is could be displayed as well. Hand selected in Morocco, this is a one of a kind treasure that will compliment almost any home.
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
