Amira
THIS RUG'S STORY:
Zayane rugs were created in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco and feature higher pile and repetitive patterns with geometric shapes. This rug was named for its royal vibes. Amira means "princess" in Arabic, and I am loving the majestic vibes this rug gives off. The arrow pattern of this one is what makes it distinctly from the Zayane tribe. It's an interesting yet traditional find. All of the tassels are in tact, and this rug is in good condition overall.
These rugs are known for the beauty on the reverse side. As shown in the pictures, the backside is could be displayed as well. Hand selected in Morocco last fall 2018, this is a one of a kind treasure that will work in almost any home.
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Each vintage Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
